POEM: 'There's A Part Of Me Missing'
Thrown away like burning trash,/
Tossed aside and forgotten./
No longer special,/
Just another being floating idly through space/
Silent and unneeded/
Not thought of or desired./
I catch my breath and sail away./
Twilight begets darkness/
Anguish replaces the sweet embrace./
I threw a ball into the stars/
Hit perfection and held it in my hands./
But it grew and gained fangs,/
Tearing me apart,/
Tearing up my eyes./
Still floating and dreaming of the past,/
Of the day the seas grow calm/
Then suddenly foam up and spit out love again./
An endless salty refrain.
